Tailored for you
As a qualified, accredited and experienced psychotherapist, I'm passionate about tailoring individual therapies based on you and your needs.
My work is founded on twenty years of training and working as Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, all of which contribute to the development of a uniquely integrated and individualized approach to psychotherapy. In the last year I have expanded into Schema Mode Therapy which you can read about below - it works at a deep level to help those with long-standing, ingrained and problematic characteristics
Over the years, many people have been through therapy with me and fed back that they are profoundly and positively changed, and are aware this has occurred through their own insights and efforts.
Working with individuals and couples, I have helped numerous people with depression, anxiety and other mental health problems.
At the moment many of us are experiencing problems and issues we have not encountered before. We have new reasons to be frightened, confused and worried. Let's face it, Coronavirus affects us all in one way or another. Many of us are feeling anxious and/or depressed as a result...
At times, our lives do not go to plan and may seem to spiral out of control, or simply make us feel down...
I also work with people who feel unhappy or lack fulfillment, but who may not know why, as well as those who simply wish to understand themselves better, develop their creativity, or find meaning, purpose or direction.
In your therapy sessions, whether by phone, video or face-to-face, I aim to provide an environment in which you will feel safe and secure enough to express what is going on in your life, and your mind and body. There is no rush, you can take your time.
We will build a picture or pattern of what is going on now, and how it is being maintained. If it feels right for you, we can then take a look back into what has occurred in the past, to gain insight into how your present situation may have developed. This will help me formulate a plan of how we will work together over the coming weeks and months.
Many people have been through therapy with me and found they are profoundly and positively changed, and they are aware that this has occurred through their insights and efforts.
I am passionate about the positive and essential role supervision and peer-to-peer collaboration can play in the therapeutic process, as well as the therapists’ professional and personal development.
If you are a therapist or trainee looking for a potential supervisor, let's discuss how we might work together.
